ISBA Names Professor Richard Martin “2008 Member of The Year”
Professor Richard Martin, Founder Global Peace Containers (2000)
The ISBU Association has chosen to honor Professor Richard Martin, the founder of Global Peace Containers as 2008 Member of The Year.
Professor Martin is one of many prominent ISBA Members who could be chosen for this award, but since he was also one of the earliest pioneers of ISBU shipping container construction and housing, and also a dedicated visionary as an educator and teacher he was our clear choice.
His work during the past 12 years, and especially his grass roots example have been a big part of why the ISBU Association has become so successful in the U.S. and worldwide. For his selfless time and vision in promoting Shipping Container construction we give him this honor and recognition.
