Students from various West coast colleges and universities have become part of the Project GreenCube University Education Program funded by the ISBU Association and it’s global Members.

The GreenCube Education program began at Clemson University in the Eastern United States in January of this year and has now spread to many of the West coast and East coast colleges and universities.

Barry Naef, executive director of the ISBU Association, (shown above) has been the guest speaker to many groups of architectural, engineering and design students from various colleges and universities across the United States.  Involved in the present container education programs are students from 15 U.S. colleges and universities. The colleges and universities represented are Carnegie-Mellon, Clemson University, Duke University, Emory University, Harbor College, Houston University, Howard University, LATTC (LA Trade-Technical College),  MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Pierce College, Penn State, Syracuse University, Tuskegee University, University of Georgia, and USC (University of Southern California).

The programs and curriculum include the study, evaluation, design and construction of various types of shipping container and ISBU technologies including architectural designs, construction, engineering, concepts, multiple uses, sustainability as well as artistic use and designs.

The programs which Project GreenCube promote and support include not only the colleges, universities, students and professors but also the local corporations, ISBA Corporate members, industry professionals and leaders from various government agencies.

Some of the programs such as the Summer Studio in Atlanta include all phases of ISBU technology, design and construction including other Eco-Green technologies, sustainable living concepts and Green energy which can be used very effectively with container home construction projects and storage units.

More information and details will be available soon on all the ISBU Association and GreenCube websites.
